Matcha Frappe

Despite packing a wallop of sugar, fat and calories, the frappes from coffee chains are uber popular. But all they do is shrink your wallet and expand your waistline! Instead, make your own versions at home. Its so much cheaper and healthier! Recipes like this matcha frappe are simple to make, and actually healthy!! Matcha, of course, provides a strong punch of antioxidants, and konjac powder, not only makes your drink think and creamy, but it adds prebiotics, fibre and provides a feeling of fullness. Seriously, take your coffee break treat and turn it into a health food. Its as delicious as it is good for you!

Ingredients

For:  1 Serving
  • 1/4 Cup Unsweetened vanilla or plain milk of choice (dairy, almond, coconut, etc.)
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1.5 Cups Ice
  • 1 tsp Matcha powder
  • 1 tsp Konjac powder
  • Pinch Chai spice or ground cinnamon
  • Sweetener To taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place ingredients in blender and blend until ice is crushed and its frothy. Pour into a large glass or jar and enjoy immediately.
